INSTALLATION
------------
1) Place the Point & Shoot program disk in floppy drive A:
2) From the ROOT DIRECTORY of your hard disk, type:
A:INSTALL
3) Add "P&S" to the PATH command in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
If you don't have a PATH command in your AUTOEXEC.BAT
file, then make the following the first line in your
AUTOEXEC.BAT file:
PATH \P&S
4) Add the command PS (not PAS ) to the END of your
AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
5) Make sure your CONFIG.SYS file contains the following lines:
FILES = 20
BUFFERS = 20
6) Reboot your computer (Ctrl-Alt-Del). Point & Shoot
should appear on your screen. If any problems occur,
consult the documentation.
COMPATIBILITY PROBLEMS
----------------------
NOTE: Compatibility problems have been reported with certain
models of computers. Point & Shoot may not run
correctly on the following computers:
- AT&T 6300 with CGA monitor
- HP Vectra with monochrome monitor (early models)
- Some Compaq models with EGA monochrome monitor (these
may work correctly if you add a MODE MONO command to
the PS.BAT file immediately before the PAS command)
- DO NOT use the screen blankers (ASB & ASBE) with IBM PS/2
computers. Some users have reported that PS/2's will
hang if the screen blankers are used.
If you experience problems with your computer, please report
the problem to AMST.
PRINTING THE DOCUMENTATION
--------------------------
To print the documentation, type the following from the DOS
prompt:
COPY PASDOC.TXT PRN:
A second option to print the documentation is to use the File
Print command found in the Point & Shoot file commands.
RESTARTING POINT & SHOOT FROM DOS
---------------------------------
To restart Point & Shoot from any directory, type: PS
If the current drive is other than the drive containing Point &
Shoot, then change to the correct drive first.
